Village Clubs and Societies
The Village Hall hosts the following clubs. New members are always welcome.
Table Tennis
The Table Tennis Club offers the chance to play competitive, but fun table tennis. They meet from 19:00 to 21:00 every Wednesday. jim.chamberlain10@outlook.com for more information.
Coffee club mornings
The Coffee Club in the village hall is open to all villagers. It is held on Mondays at 11am. It is an informal gathering with a cup of coffee for £1. The dates for the next few months are, March 31st, April 28th, June 2nd, July 7th, August 4th. All are welcome, especially those who are new to West Stafford - it’s an ideal opportunity to meet new friends.
Short Mat Bowls
The Short Mat bowls club are a small friendly group who meet every Tuesday from 19:30 to 21:00 in the village hall. This is very much a social group with a wide range of bowling skills. No previous experience needed. For more information contact Sylvia Kimbrey sylvia.kimbrey49@gmail.com.
Craft Club
The craft club meet on the last Friday of the month from 09:30 to 12:30. New members always welcome. Contact Linda Kemp lindakemp6251@hotmail.co.uk for more information.
BDHA
Bockhampton and District Horticultural Society have a busy programme of events – two annual Saturday shows in Spring and Summer, two informal members’ social evenings in June and December, Friday-evening talks in winter by experts on a range of topics and a hotly-contested annual quiz. https://www.facebook.com/BockhamptonDistrictHorticulturalAssociation
Village Hall Management Committee
The Committee meets every 6 weeks, it organises social events and Fayres and it oversees the management of the hall and surrounding areas within the village. If you are interested in joining the Committee then please contact Gail Fenton or gail.fenton@gmail.comany of the committee.
